Alberta Ingenuity Centre for Oil Sands Innovation

Established in 2007, the Centre is based at the University of Alberta, partnered with the Faculty of Engineering and Imperial Oil. The Centre is focused on engineering new mining, extraction and upgrading technologies for Alberta’s oil sands industry that reduce water consumption and the need for tailing ponds.
