Ingenuity offers two special awards to the top graduate student scholarship recipients each year.

Bill Bridger Award of Excellence

Dr. Bill Bridger was Alberta Ingenuity's first President and CEO. When he retired in 2004, an annual Bill Bridger Award of Excellence was created to recognize his contribution.

The Bill Bridger Award of Excellence is given to the Ingenuity Student Scholarship recipient who demonstrates outstanding achievement based on the evaluation scores provided by the program's panel of reviewers.

Len Bolger Memorial Scholarship in Energy Research Excellence

Len Bolger was an influential figure in Alberta's energy innovation scene.  He was recognized within the Alberta Science and Research Authority family as the leading strategic thinker in the development of Alberta's energy innovation strategy. 

The Alberta Energy Research Institute (AERI) and Alberta Ingenuity have created two scholarships that will honour Mr. Len Bolger's contributions to the province. The Len Bolger Memorial Scholarships will be given to the two highest ranked students in energy-related research fields in each annual Ingenuity scholarship competition.
