• Optilume Engineered Light, a TEC Edmonton portfolio company, is receiving business development assistance to develop a better business strategy

• CAN Telematics Inc., a newly designated TEC Edmonton Portfolio Company, has been operating for three years and is now seeking help restarting their business after a failed merger with a US company.
Shaheel is helping revise the company’s business plan and providing sales and marketing, grants and future fundraising advice

• C.I.E. (Rocketfuel Productions) is a social networking start-up that required assistance to refine the founders’ business and operations strategy

Portfolio:
• As CEO of CodeBaby, Shaheel recruited a team that led the company to a leading position in the enterprise virtual-assistant software market

• Trilogy (Texas), provided international business development and strategic partnerships for this high-growth enterprise configuration software company

• At McKinsey & Company, Shaheel was a member of the lead team responsible for launching one of Canada’s first online banking institutions, as well as strategic advisor for Fortune 500 executives

• As a member of the Premier’s Task Force on Technology Commercialization, Shaheel currently works with a number of early-stage companies
