Researcher uncovers treatment for E.coli

A new treatment for E. coli is being celebrated by health experts around the world. The novel approach has been developed by David Bundle, the Scientific Director of the Alberta Ingenuity Centre for Carbohydrate Science and his colleagues, Pavel Kitov and Glen Armstrong. In preliminary trials, PolyBAIT has drastically improved patient outcomes over current antibiotic treatments that magnify the effects of E. coli infections.

The team of Centre researchers is also working with the Scripps Research Institute in the U.S. to apply the highly effective PolyBAIT molecule to target cancer cells.
