Strategic Partnerships

Alberta Ingenuity supports organizations that help build awareness about the importance of science and research, the impact it has on society, and why Albertans should care about the province’s investments in this area.

Ingenuity’s partnership with the Science Alberta Foundation is a strong example of that support–it is a long-term agreement that allows the two organizations to work closely to deliver teacher and student training opportunities that align with Ingenuity priorities and encourage more students to consider careers in science and engineering.

The Role of Partnerships
Partnerships in the public and private sectors will be developed across a range of interests and integrated into program development in the early planning stages. These partnerships are essential for sustaining Ingenuity’s goals to:

  • Integrate understanding of communicating to and serving constituent groups
  • Design and convey messages to broad-reaching communities/networks Coordinate local media activities
  • Save time and resources by synchronizing roles and activities that already exist or need to be developed

Definition of scope:

  • Define scope of support
  • Provide partnership organizations with materials and other information to reinforce Ingenuity’s goals
  • Recognize successful partner contributions and leverage recognition into best practices for other organizations
  • Track and evaluate partnership activities
