Alberta Ingenuity Centres for Research and Commercialization

The Centres’ networks form the framework for powerful collaborations to carry out cooperative research and development projects that create new enterprise and market opportunities for Alberta.

Established in 2001, the Ingenuity Centres for Research and Commercialization program supports industry, government and academic collaborations that channel emerging discoveries into hi-tech product development. The Centres have attracted investments of more than $40 million. This combined public and private funding has created six opportunities for international R&D collaborations right here in Alberta, for everything from better healthcare services, to better environmental management and more sustainable energy.
